This is the first time I’ve ever ordered makeup online. Mostly because ordering stuff back home means it taking forever to actually arrive, I just found it such a hassle. But since I’ve moved, I’ve been itching to order some makeup and I’ve finally got around to it.
The webstore I ordered from is called Boozyshop. It’s a makeup store based in the Netherlands. Considering that it’s my first time ordering online, obviously, I’ve never used Boozyshop, so I wanted to check it out (plus it was recommended to me by a friend, after I already ordered the stuff, but doesn’t matter, it’s the thought the counts, amirite?).
As the title of this post says, this is both an unboxing and a haul, because I was so excited to receive this package I figured why not share that excitement of getting to open a package on my blog.
So let’s get into it!
Okay, I’m gonna get into the actual haul now. Shipping and handling cost in total 3,95 euros and taxes accounted for an extra 7,57 euros. In total I paid 43,63 euros for this package of goodies, which to be honest, I’m not even mad about. 😂
Anti-Shine Setting Spray
Brand: Freedom Professional Studio
Price: 6,49 euros
I consider this the most boring thing on the list, so it can go first. I’ll be honest, my skin, especially my T-zone (I’m looking at you, forehead), can get really oily. I don’t even mean a slight oiliness, no, ha, I wish. No, instead, my forehead goes into the full-blown “I’m a fucking Times Square billboard” mode.
So that together with the fact that I don’t want my makeup being nonexistent by the end of the day (I pay good money for that shit to stay put, okay?), I decided to purchase this. I’ve only used it once, so I can’t really say if it’s a Godsent or not.
Baked Eyeshadow Astral
Brand: Makeup Revolution
This was a gift because I threw a fair amount of money at the store. All jokes aside, though, I really do like this eyeshadow. As someone who currently mostly owns matte eyeshadow (sparkles scares me a little), this one does give some depths into my ‘collection’ (if you can even call it that).
Matte Liquid Lipstick “Backstage”
Brand: L.A. Girl
Price: 2,75 euros
Let the records show, that this is my first matte liquid lipstick. Ever. And after having used this, I have come to a conclusion. Boy, do I fucking suck at applying this stuff. I mean, wow, I’m not even somewhat okay, no, I just hardcore suck at it. Where do my lips stop and my face start??? When I’m using this, I don’t even know, everything fucking becomes lips. But hey, practice makes perfect, right? Maybe one day I can apply liquid lipstick without everything below my nose becoming part of my lips. That day is not today, though.
Vamp Noir Lipstick Collection
Brand: Freedom Professional Studios
Price: 5,95 euros
I fucking love lipstick. I don’t really know why, but it’s one of my favorite types of makeup products. Other people are all about contour or eyeshadow palettes, I just want a huge collection of lipsticks. So when I saw this collection, I practically broke my mac’s mousepad adding it to my cart.
I usually gravitate to darker colors because I feel that bright or vivid colors won’t suit my complexion as well. They also fucking scare the shit out of me. So these colors were definitely up my alley.
Matte Palette (35 colors)
Brand: Morphe Brushes
Price: 24,49 euros
This is the Morphe Brushes 35N Palette. It goes without saying that I was pretty excited to receive this palette. It wasn’t the one I actually wanted, though. My goal was actually to get my hands on the 35O palette (I know I just said sparkles scare me but the palette is beautiful ok), but it was sold out. So I perused the selection and stumbled upon this one. It had a wider variety of colors as opposed to the other ones, and considering I only own nudes, I thought it’d be nice to have a palette with some purples and other colors.
I’ll be frank, the pigmentation of the eyeshadows makes me want to cry tears of joy. The fall-out, however, makes my eye twitch like it’s having a seizure (okay, maybe that was a bit much, but I’m all about that drama, you feel me?). Real talk, so far this is the best palette I’ve ever used (I’ve hardly used any, so take that with a grain of salt #kthxbye).
Overall, I’m really happy with my purchases and the service of Boozyshop. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they give you the option of what time and which day the package can arrive, so you van easily choose what’s the most convenient to you. I even got my package two hours earlier than I had requested, which was fine by me.
