So a lot of things happened this past month. I moved to the Netherlands, started school at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, enjoyed daily two-hour commutes to and from school, met up with friends, and most importantly, went shopping.
This haul is gonna be a bit on the small side, mostly because 1) I am a student on a budget, and 2) this past month I’ve only managed to go shopping once. It might also be fucking terrible because this is a first for me. But hey, at least I’m trying, right? (Do I get points for effort?)
But that’s okay, because regardless of that, I’m pretty happy with these purchases.
So without further ado, let’s get into the haul ^^
Pleather Baseball Shirt
Shop: Vero Moda
Price: 19,99 euros
The first thing I purchased was this lovely baseball shirt with a pleather front (is that a good description? I dunno, look there are pics for a reason). I always try to resist impulse buys, but I saw this on the sale rack and I couldn’t resist buying it. I tend to lean towards blacks, grays, and other dark colors, so this was definitely right up my alley.
Olive jacket with faux fur
Price: 80.90 euros
This jacket is the reason why I had gone shopping in the first place. The warm and sunny weather here in the Netherlands were (finally) coming to an end, and I was definitely feeling it. My mom warned me to buy a jacket, and I definitely found myself regretting not listening to her when I was biking home from the station in the rain while the freezing wind practically tried to give me frostbite.
I’ve always liked this type of olive/army green color, it goes nicely with the rest of my wardrobe and it’s definitely a color I’ve been seeing around a lot these days. Another plus for me is that if I’m not feeling the fluffy faux fur around the hood, I can easily just take it off.
Black Ankle Boots
Shop: Van Haren
Price: 34,90 euros
Ever since I was a little snot-nosed kid, I have wanted ankle boots. There has always been something about them that pulled me to them. When I started going to uni this past month, I noticed one thing. A lot of girls were rocking ankle boots. Seeing all those lovely shoes pretty much re-ignited my want for my very own pair of ankle boots. So I found myself in Van Haren (think something along the lines of a Dutch version of Payless, I guess) after I bought the shirt and the jacket.
I love these shoes. I haven’t worn my sneakers since I bought them. The heels give me a tiny bit of extra height and a generally nice little confidence boost, while still not being absolutely demonizing on my feet. This pair is comfy enough to wear to school daily, however, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re going to walk a lot (honestly, I should start taking that advice myself but I can be a stubborn fuck).
Graduation Owl Charm
Shop: Pandora e-store
Price: 53, 80 euros (49 euros + 4, 80 euros shipping costs)
This adorable little Pandora charm was a delayed graduation gift to me from my mom and I. This owl charm is made out of sterling silver, its chest/belly area has tiny sparkly clear zirconias embedded in it and its eyes are made of Swiss blue crystals (the blue doesn’t come through very well in the pic, but I assure you, they’re blue).
So that was it for my little September haul. October definitely will be a bigger haul month, so look forward to that ^-^
